More than 50 riders along with Himalayan, Classic 350 and Meteor 350 motorcycles from Royal Enfield participated in the ride organised on Sunday by Alpha Automotive, the sole authorised dealer for Royal Enfield in Nepal.

The programme was flagged off from Kamalpokhari city center at 6 am, then the riders reached Chitlang and finished at the city center at 6 pm the same day, the company said in a statement. Public awareness about road safety was given to the participants during the ride.

The event was also organised at Alpha Automotive dealers in Pokhara (Bullet Traders), Chitwan (Yeti Automobiles), Itahari (Royal Motors) and Butwal (Gaire Pratisthan).

Introduced in 2011 with an aim of bringing together all Royal Enfield customers from around the world, ‘One Ride’ was celebrated globally across 50 countries.

School bags were distributed to students of Sri Kalidevi Basic School in Chitlang in accordance with the objective to reach the rural areas of the country and help in domestic tourism and the community, the statement added.

The ward president of Chitlang, school principal, local social workers, representative of Royal Enfield India, director of Alfa Automotive and Indian Embassy staff were in attendance at the handing over programme.
