The weather will be cloudy for the next three days, starting Friday, and into the weekend until Sunday, says the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

At present, the axis of the Monsoon Trough is located slightly north in the eastern part because of the low-pressure area around the Uttar Pradesh of India, the Division added.
 
Their forecast is thus: Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and many parts of Sudurpaschim Province and some places of the rest of the province are likely to experience light to moderate rain with thunderstorms.

Similarly, some areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces are likely to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall.

There is also a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in the rest of the provinces.

As per the Met Officials, light-to-moderate rain with thunderstorms is likely in Lumbini province, and many places of Sudurpaschim Province on Friday.

Chances of heavy-to-very heavy rain are likely in many areas of  Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim and one or two places in the Terai area of the rest of the province this weekend.

A similar prediction is made for Saturday and Sunday as well.

Meanwhile, MFD has urged everyone to exercise caution as the water level in rivers and canals may rise and daily life may also be affected due to the risk of flooding, landslides, and debris flow.
