The weather in Nepal is set to change in the next few days due to the effect of local and western winds, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

The MFD said that most parts of the country will see normal to full change in weather, with some areas receiving rain and thunderstorms. The high hilly and Himalayan regions may also witness light snowfall in some places.

The MFD issued a three-day weather bulletin for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, predicting the weather conditions across the country.

On Friday afternoon and night, some places of the country, particularly in the hilly regions, may experience light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and gusty winds.

On Saturday afternoon, the hilly and Terai regions may have similar weather conditions, while the rest of the country will be partly to mostly cloudy. On Saturday night, the weather will be partly cloudy, with few places in the hilly regions likely to have rain and thunderstorms.

On Sunday afternoon and night, the weather will be generally clear in the hilly areas of the country, except for some places that may still have light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to clear.

The MFD also warned of possible light rain with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki region. It advised people to be alert and take precautions against possible lightning strikes, gusty winds and hailstorms during this period.
