Enthusiastic Nepali women entrepreneurs, proudly flaunting their products in dozens of stalls filled with visitors. This sums up the sight of a trade expo featuring products owned by Nepali women.

The International Women’s Trade Expo, which started in Lalitpur on Thursday, is giving Nepali women entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase the products owned by them. The expo has been organized by the Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs' Associations of Nepal.

Currently in its sixth year, the expo aims to “strengthen the coordination and collaboration between different actors within the women entrepreneurs and their buyers,” the association stated in a Facebook post. It has also been providing them with a platform to share knowledge, network and sell their products.

It was inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The expo will run from August 18 to 22 at Heritage Garden, Sanepa, Lalitpur.
