Light-to-medium rainfall will likely continue this too, with forecasts predicting rains until Tuesday.

As per the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the axis of the monsoon trough is located in the southern part than the normal position, causing rainfall across the country.

The weather will be partially to generally cloudy across the country in some parts of the hilly areas.

Thunder and lightning are expected along with medium rainfall, according to the Met Division. The Sudurpaschim province will, however, receive heavy rainfall.

Few areas of Province 1, Lumbini, Karnali, and Bagmati provinces will receive rainfall with thunder and lightning.

The Gandaki Province will receive heavy rainfall for the next three days till Tuesday.

The Met Division officials have urged everyone to exercise caution as the water level in rivers and canals may rise and the daily life/transport area may also be affected due to the risk of flooding, landslides, and debris flow.
