The weather will likely continue to be cloudy with chances of rainfall across Nepal this week too.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that the monsoon trough is located slightly to the south than the normal axis, and will likely trigger rainfall with lightning and thunder.
As per the Met Division, Lumbini Province, Gandaki Province, and some parts of Province 1 will see cloudy weather with moderate rainfall and lightning.
Chances of light to medium rainfall are predicted across the country, with night-time rainfall expected at a few areas of Province 1.
Similarly, the Met Division said, some parts of the hilly region will have partially to generally cloudy weather with light to medium rainfall.
Province 1 and Gandaki Province are expected to receive heavy rainfall on Monday night.
Similar cloudy weather with rainfall is likely on Tuesday as well.
The Division has warned that monsoon activities are likely to continue for the next couple of days, when the water level in major rivers from east to far-west Nepal is expected to rise significantly.
Authorities have alerted communities and local officials to step prepare and respond to water-induced disasters, which have already claimed several lives and caused huge losses.
