Life & Health

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is extending free ambulance service to needy citizens during the Dasain holiday.

The metropolis is operating free ambulance service for the convenience of the citizens as most of the ambulance services remain suspended during the Dasain holidays, it said through a public notice.

It has asked people to dial 102 for ambulance service and 1180 for information related to dengue.
Similarly, the KMC is providing health services to treat the citizens in view of the rapidly spreading dengue infections throughout the country, including in Kathmandu.

The metropolis will mobilise its volunteers to take information on dengue and provide free ambulance service to the patients.

The KMC has also announced that 558 volunteers have been deployed to distribute paracetamol tablets and sachets of oral rehydration salt to the denizens during the festival. - RSS
