Police have arrested and jailed an absconding murderer after 16 years. 

A team from the District Police Range, Kathmandu, arrested Raj Kumar Magar, also known as Kumar Tamang, and sent him to Dillibazaar prison on Sunday. 

Magar was involved in the murder of Manoj Khadka at Koteswor Chowk of Kathmandu Metropolis-32, in 2006. He was caught and sent to the jail, said the police office. 

Khadka who was critically injured in a scuffle that took place while celebrating birthday of a friend on July 18, 2006, died the next day in the course of treatment. 

Spokesperson of Kathmandu District Police Range, SP Dinesh Raj Mainali said that Magar was arrested in the murder case and sent to jail as per the order of the district court. - RSS
