Lightning strike kills three women
The thunderbolt hit them when they were working in the fields
Three women from the same village died after lightning struck them at Malahi Tol, Garuda Municipality-3 in Rautahat district.
The thunderbolt hit them when they were working in the fields.
The victims, all from Malahi village, include: Sudaniya Devi, 39; Jagiya Kumari, 70; Manisha Kumari, 18.
Deputy Superintendent of Rupesh Kumar Singh, the Chief of Area Police Office Garuda, said Saili Devi, 40, has been injured in the incident.
Sudaniya and Jagiya are from the same family.
Meanwhile, Garuda Municipality Mayor Kantha Mani Jayaswal reached the incident site and gave assurances of support to the families of the victims. –RSS
