With an aim to promote reading culture, the Nepal Academy is hosting a book exhibition at the Bhanubhakta Chamber in the Academy complex on Thursday.

According to Sudhir Dhungel, manager at the Academy, books published from 1974 to 2022 will be kept for sale in the exhibition.

According to the organisers, around 500 types of books related to language, literature, art, journal, criticism, dictionary, bibliography, culture, science, translation and philosophy have been kept for sale. The price of the books kept for sale ranges from Rs 3 to Rs 2,070.

Dhungel further shared that the books published by the Academy as of 2022 are available at a 40 per cent discount. Dictionaries including Nepali Comprehensive Dictionary and Pragya Nepali-English Dictionary are available at 15 percent discount in the exhibition.

The book exhibition is part of the Academy's campaign to reach out its publications to all Nepali people in seven provinces so as to elevate its image. - RSS
