A 40-year-old Indian national has been arrested on charges of carrying 15,000 fake ballot papers on Wednesday.

A team of Nepal Police arrested Ijaajat Ahmed, a resident of West Champaran district, Bihar in India, said the police. 

He was arrested from Jagannathpur Rural Municipality of Parsa district in southern Nepal four days ahead of November 20 election.

According to the police, he was caught while entering Nepal from the Indian border carrying the ballot papers on a motorcycle with Indian number plates.
