Nine candidates have withdrawn their candidature for the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly elections.

According to the Office of the Returning, one candidate contesting for the House of Representatives seat and eight for the Provincial Assembly have taken back their nominations.

Rabindra Man Shrestha, who had filed his nominations in Banke Constituency-3, has withdrawn his candidature. 

Likewise, Provincial Assembly candidates Ugrasen Yadav and Bikram Yadav have take back their nominations from constituency-1. Independent candidates Rajendra Kandel and Binaychandra Gupta from constituency-2, Zakir Hussain, Deepak GM, Indra Bahadur Thapa, Rajkumar Dhakal, and Sant Bahadur Khatri as Provincial Assembly candidates from constituency-3 have withdrawn their nominations.

Banke will elect nine representatives from three constituencies to the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly. Ninety-nine candidates are in the fray for nine seats. 

The elections to the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly seats are scheduled to take place on November 20. - RSS
