Nepal Minute - out of the ordinary

Nepal

After a hiatus of three years, Cathay Pacific airlines will resume its Hong Kong-Kathmandu flights.

The airlines will start operating direct flights to Hong Kong-Kathmandu from October 1.

The direct flight was postponed owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The flag carrier of Hong Kong has sent a letter to the authority concerned to operate the direct flight from October 1, said Premnath Thakur, general manager at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Currently, Nepal Airlines has been conducting regular flights between Kathmandu and Hong Kong.

The Cathay Pacific has planned to conduct one flight a week on Saturdays, said Thakur. - RSS
