The Sandhikharka Municipality has installed a 21-feet sculpture of the goddess - arguably the largest in Asia - at the Argha Goddess Temple located at Sandhikharka Municipality-9 in Arghakhanchi.

The idol was installed with an objective to attract tourists visiting Lumbini and Supa Deurali, the religious site in Arghakhanchi, municipality engineer Hari Bohara said.

The statue was installed at the initiative of former mayor of Sandhikharka municipality Kamal Prasad Bhusal.

Incumbent Mayor of the municipality Krishna Prasad Shrestha said that the municipality installed the largest idol in Asia with an objective of bringing in tourists visiting Lumbini, Resunga of Gulmi and Sworgadwari of Pyuthan in Arghakhanchi.

The road linking to the temple is being blacktopped at the initiative of the municipality.
