Elections 2022

Bibeksheel Sajha party has registered at the Election Commission (EC) in a clear indication that the party will contest in elections due later this year.

On Tuesday afternoon, party president Samikchya Baskota reached the EC to register the party and pave the way for participation in the parliamentary and provincial elections due for November 20.

Along with Baskota, coordinator Sanjeev Ballav Bhattarai, founding leader Prakash Chandra Pariyar, and deputy head of office management Navraj Thapa had reached the Commission.

On Sunday, the party accepted Rabindra Mishra's resignation and elected Baskota as president and Bhattarai as the coordinator.

The Election Commission had set an August 16 deadline for party registrations.

Within this time, some parties have already been registered, while others rushed to get themselves registered on Tuesday, the last day.
