Budget expenditures of the government in the first five months of the current fiscal year 2022/23 has stood at 24.26 percent.

Out of Rs1,793 billion budget brought for the current fiscal year, around Rs435 billion has been spent until mid-December, the Financial Comptroller General Office said.

Similarly, the government has allocated more than Rs380 billion under capital expenditures for the current fiscal. Capital expenditures have been around nine per cent to Rs33.9 billion was spent under capital expenditures.

Likewise, the government has spent 29.94 per cent of over Rs1,183 billion of the current expenditures or Rs354 billion.

A little over 20 per cent of Rs230 billion financial management budget, amounting to over Rs46.6 billion was spent as of mid-December, the office said. 

During this period, the revenue collection has stood at 24.52 per cent. The government set a collection target of over Rs140 billion this fiscal and receive Rs550 billion in foreign grants within the current fiscal year.  

The internal revenue collection so far is over Rs300 billion which is 23.3 per cent of the annual target. Likewise, during this period the government of Nepal has received 6.16 per cent of the target which is over Rs300 billion.
