A Nepali Army bomb disposal unit has disposed of a suspicious item found in front of the house of CPN-UML leader Gokul Baskota.

Locals informed the police after they spotted a pressure cooker in a plastic in front of the UML leader’s house in Lokanthali, Bhaktapur. They had suspected to be a bomb. The police then cordoned off the area and called the Nepali Army’s bomb disposal team.

The army team rushed to the site and disposed of the item. The police said the suspicious object was not a bomb.

Baskota won a seat in the House of Representatives from Kavre-2 in the November 20 elections.
