Days after Bagmati squatters of Thapathali fought a pitched battle with Kathmandu Metropolitan City police personnel refuging to vacate the river bank, business owners of Bagbazaar have demonstrated against KMC's move to enforce a no-parking rule in the area.

Bagbazaar is one of the busiest streets in the city. KMC's new move to introduce a no-parking rule on that street has angered local businessmen and traders who fear their businesses will be hit once vehicles are not allowed to park in on the side of the busy street. 

They are demanding that KMC offer parking alternatives for their customers before enforcing the new rule.
