Elections 2022

The parliamentary and provincial elections, which were postponed in Gulmi and Surkhet on November 20 due to political disputes, are currently ongoing in the districts.

Re-polling is ongoing in two polling centres – Bhagawati Secondary School of Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-2 in Gulmi, and Simta Multiple Campus of Simta Rural Municipality-6 in Surkhet since Tuesday morning.

Of the four polling centres, repolling was conducted in Nawalparsi on Monday.

Re-election at Pipalchaur polling centre of Nandeshwari Secondary School in Budhananda Municipality-5, Bajura, is still uncertain. The November 20 election was postponed in Bajura due to poll violence.

The Election Commission has said that re-election will be conducted in Bajura after reassessing law and order situation in the area. -RSS
